Bluetooth Elm issues

Post by saintetienne »

Good evening everyone ,

I recently bought a bluetooth elm interface ( think it may be a 1.4 ) to access some info on my daughter's brera and reset oil message after I had serviced -it shows as connected and during tests pass all parts - however I can only get connection to main engine ecu - I had a brief look on here last night and say a post regarding removing a resistor to access can line , looked on here again tonight and can't find it - anyone know of this ?

thanks

Hello

The others on ABS to control and xenon are all read by CAN bus, and to many ELM interface, a resistor must be removed.
Of the CAN bus signal interferes

For ABS and Xenon you need adapter cables or your ELM must be rebuilt.

The matter with the Resistor find more

Hi Eddy ,

thanks for the reply - I have taken my interface apart and it looks quite different maybe cos it's a bluetooth one - do you think this can be modified or should I buy a better one ?

thanks

Hello Saint Etienne

I marked in red the resistor to be removed .
Remove this and then your ELM also works in the CAN bus protocol
