Hi, I possibly have the same problem but before modifying the ELM327 thought it worth checking.
By scanning for interface, the software identifies as K-line/VAG rather than ELM 327. If I manually select the ELM 327 interface it cannot find connection.
With the K-line/VAG interface type selected, there is "no response from ECU" (ignition is on)

Hello
First of all, what vehicle and year you want to read?
Because several people have already soldered on your ELM interface around
and it was not necessary

Hi guys,
Can you help me and tell me what to cut off on my ELM 237 v1.5a which I have recently received from China.
Here are photos of my cable.
The cable is connecting to engine ok but I can't reset service interval. There is no such item in the Adjustments tab.
