No, connect will connect to the specific controller you select.
Scan will scan the car and report back which controllers it can communicate with.

So if you scan first, you'll know then what you can connect to.

What do you mean, saying that scan will scan the car and report back which controllers it can communicate with???
I know which controller to connect.
There is one controller for Alfa Romeo 2.2JTS and I can find it in the list of several cars in the program and I can select it for connection.
Did I misunderstood something?

Multiecuscan does not yet support every possible controller for every possible car.
On many models Fiat / Alfa have used more than one engine control module for a given model specification, so it is possible the engine controller in your car is not the one listed as supported by FES.

If you run a scan on the car, it will pull the ISO code from every controller it is able to communicate with, and will then tell you whether that module is supported by the software or not.

In the menu there is AR159 2.2JTS so it should be able to connect to it!

I have even downloaded demo version of version 3.2 and tried to connect, but I couldn't.
here is the photo:

TEST is ok.
Ports are OK.
EVERYTHING IS OK!
BUT THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT WANT TO CONNECT TO MY CAR! :(
