Fiat Stilo clutch degredation index

Post by Entonox »

In the program you can see the clutch degredation index. This ranges from -4000 to +14000. where the negative value is stronger/reinforced clutch and positive value is wear of the clutch. Also there is a test to calculate this index. My question is how accurate is this index figure? my clutch works fine but it says +13800 as degredation index value.

Well a update on this one: i made the deciscion to get the gearbox out and change the clutch, pressure plate and bearing. The clutch was about 40% of its original thickness, so not very worn as the number indicated.

Now when you replace the clutch you need to bleed the system a few times, also you need to do the clutch self calibration; but if i do this, the clutch degredation index stays the same! also the juddering when pulling up is still there. Maybe Yani can give some more info on the clutch self calibration procedure?

UPDATE2:

I also replaced the accumulator and the clutch solenoid, but that did not help either. I was monitoring the engine ECU and especially the MAF sensor when i saw something strange;

You see that the values air temperature, air flow and even water temperature drop very frequently. I assume this is not correct.
I could conclude that the MAF sensor is gone but why does the watertemperature drop also? this isn`t in the MAF sensor.

Anyone experience this before? i attatched a larger screenshot to this post
