Post by carcon »

Hi, i want to upgrade my old odometer (Ducato 250, 2017) to new one virtual from 21.
scan and reading at old one no problem, everything works,
but when i connect the new odomeeter to the car, i can not connect with Multiecuscan,
i try serveral Models, but comes errors like: Time out error, check cable + port, can`t connect to Body Computer.

Early 250 Ducato models only needed basic ELM support for the Instrument panel. Later models require adapter A3

250 Facelift and 290 model

Ducato (type 250) : Instrument Panel Marelli |INFO|DTC|DTC EX|PRM|ACT|ADJ| ELM

Ducato (type 250) Facelift : Instrument Panel Marelli |INFO|DTC|DTC EX|PRM|ACT|ADJ| ELM | A3

Ducato (type 290) : Instrument Panel Marelli |INFO|DTC|DTC EX|PRM|ACT|ADJ| ELM | A3

MES will not prompt for adapter A3 if you select your earlier 250 model.

In MES select try selecting the 250 Facelift or 290 model.

Sorry to hear this.

I must leave this to others now who are probably far more experienced than me in using MES with "out of normal configuration" operations and connections.

Thinking about this I suspect that your vehicle does not have the wiring to support the later instrument panel.
