500x Uconnect 7 retrofit CANT enable CarPlay

Recently I swaped the old uconnect 5 inch unit with the newer Uconnect 7 (EMEA DAB GPS). Odo started blinking and after some failed proxi alignment procedures using MES and my obdlink sx scanner, my mechanic offered to perform it using his professional witech 2 tool. Everything worked fine. However witech does not allow any feature enable/disable. So I tried again using MES. Proxi was extended by witech to 250 bytes with the last 106 bytes all set to 00.
I tried the following configurations:
1. byte 148=05, 157=01, 160=01
2. byte 157=01, 161=03, 171=01, 235=80
In both cases proxi alignment succeeded but any of these configurations did not work for me.
I have also swapped the usb module with the 2xusb one that came with the newer head unit.

What am I doing wrong?

I also tried to enable comfort windows with no luck (not at the same time with all the above) (I know that's irrelevant but I mention it for the record).

Can you upload your original proxy code?

Witech is indeed not useable to perform modifications.

Sorry for the misinformation, actually witech has made more modifications than just extending the proxi.

Is there any possibility that the problem is in the usb module?

However I read somewhere that this module is not compatible with carplay and that I need this one:


Unfortunately there is no android phone available right now in order to test android auto too.

I have a proxy of an 2020 500x with an 7 inch uconnect. You can try to make it work. Currently a bit busy to sort it out.
