4.7 Cannot connect to a 500L with SGW

Post by antonionni »

Hi all

before buying a licence, I want to make sure it works with my 500L with SGW.

Now I try a free version (4.7) on W10, but it doesn't connect with a car.
I'm using this interface, which works well with others apps: https://www.veepeak.com/product/obdcheck-ble-plus/

Here an AT commands sends from another app, maybe it was a timing problems?

Last question: the licence is expiring after 1 year, or is valid for further upgrades, even if only for my car?

Many thanks and best regards

I can address the license issue.

Your license is valid for 1 year. During that year you will be entitled to all bug fixes and new released versions, e.g. 4.8.

After 1 year your software will continue to work on ALL MES listed/supported vehicles with no restrictions.

The 500L has been supported for several versions of MES so 500L support is pretty mature. This means that after a year your are probably not going to need to purchase a new license unless significant feature/support are added to MES for the 500L or you obtain another more recent vehicle.

Hope this helps.

Would just like to clarifiy that "ALL MES listed/supported vehicles with no restrictions" is retricted to those vehicles that were supported in the current release when your license expired.

You are welcome.

I wish I could offer more information regarding your connection issues but I've never used a Blue Tooth adapter so am not qualified/experienced to offer definitive advice/information.

If no one else responds then you should contact MES Support.

Yes, obviously.

As for the interface, I'll buy an USB one.

Many thanks again
