A Hello and request for help

Post by Ethnic »

Hi and hello from a total newbie.

Following advice received from the Fiat Forum, I have purchased a single licensed version of Multiecuscan and a interface from ebay - type ELM 327 v1.4 OBD2 CAN ECU MODIFIED for use with MULTI ECU SCAN multiecuscan (ebay ref 271275445368)

I have a Fiat Ducato 2.3 multijet euro 5 engine, manufactured late 2012.

When I connect and select Fiat Ducato (type 250) 2.3 multijet, i get error - check obd interface.

When I connect and selct Fiat Ducato (type 250) facelift 2.3 multijet, everything seems to work OK. Is this correct, as I thought the facelift model came out late 2014?

Also, If I want to resent the service interval, what connectors do I need and where can I get them from.

Thanks in advance

I would not worry about the facelift / no facelift. If facelift works then this is what you should be using.

If you read here:

http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx

and scroll to:

Fiat / Ducato (type 250) Facelift / 2.3 Multijet

you will find all the required connectors / pin connections / cables required.

For a complete cable set then look here:

https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESCBL.html

other UK sources may be available but I have no experience of them.
