Same problem Multiecuscan doesnt find motor ecu (Hitachi MPI).
Multiecuscanner ABS & Airbag works fine, but motor doesnt.
Thinkpad T41 & XP + Fiatecucan 1.6
USB K-line cable & 3 pin.
Marea Weekend 1.8 ELX 2000.

Hi,
I will try to include the older Hitachi version in the next realease. It seems that a lot of cars are still using it.
On the other hand when you report that your car does not connect you can also include some more info. Like: Can you connect with other software? Do you know the ISO code of your ECU? Year of manufacture as reported by eper.
As far as I know there are 3 versions of the Hitachi ECU:
1. the 1st version is before '98
2. the second version is the pre-EOBD version and it is used after '98
3. the 3rd version is the EOBD version
Each version uses different communication protocol and commands. The program currently supports 2nd and 3rd version. The 3rd version is tested and works correctly. The 2nd version is not tested and there is a little chance that I have a problem with its protocol.

Yes, Barchetta is using the 1st ECU until '98.

new version 2.0 still not work with older version Hitachi eccu (95-97)

Hi, version 2.5 has still no connection to the Hitachi ver 1 ECU.
