ELM 327 1.4 interface

hi, this is my first post. i am having problems trying to connect engine ecu. i can connect to body ecu but not engine i keep getting connection error check port setting which i have adjusted lots of times. i have a fiat 500 1.4 which i bought damage ,can anybody help...thanks.

The engine control unit you need to directly read
For all other controllers you need an adapter!

Hi alfaeddy, i have three adapters one yellow,green ,red. i have tried altering the setting in multiecuscan and driver setting but i get 'interface/cable error. i can connect to body ecu but nothing else. if i press simulate i get error code B0110 open circuit/short circuit at +v batt, any idea what this means? ....i used interface drivers from www.idiagnostic.co.uk/drivers/ELM.ZIP... HELP !

The simulation has nothing to do with the reading of your controls
As the name suggests it is a simulation
This function is only intended to get to know the program


Have you ever tried the connection without adapter to the engine ECU or the ABS?

It's just strange that you can connect to the body and not to other controllers?

If your interface recognized in the Control Panel of Windows without errors?
Otherwise, once try this driver
