FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Stapy
To get to your CAN controllers you need to open the ELM and remove on the lower PCB resistor R2 (121).
Then you can to control, CAN info / setup, service access, etc..
In the picture I marked red the resistor R2.
Then add the ELM mini back together and glue the housing
To get to your bag you have the KKL interface either use the adapter 2 or open the KKL and solve the pin 7 and replace the pin 3
Greetings Eddy

Hello Stapy
To get to the dashboard you need to change your ELM interface as described.
Removing resistor R2
Then you should make the remaining connections.
Greetings Eddy

Hi
I took the plunge and remove the R04 resistor of my elm327.
The board is not like any posted on this thread.
I can access the service reset now, and the boddy, but whenever I connect the red or yellow interface, nothing gets recognized.
What can I do ?

Hello
That's all right, then, for your airbag at the Alfa 147 you need a KKL interface and the red adapter
The yellow adapter you need not even needed for Mito and Giulietta.
Greetings Eddy

Dear community
Let me introduce myself quickly.
My name is Marcel and I am a - proud - owner of an Alfa 159 TBi.
Have started to play recently with an ELM 327 ( rev 1.5) interface on my car.
Here is my issue:
During the SCAN (F11) I don't see the engine ECU of my car ( should be a Motronic). All other modules show up (steering lock, body ECU ... c.f. attached).
I would expect that the engine ECU also shows up during the scan, even if I cannot connect properly because I use the free version of multiecuscan.
Can somebody confirm that, or is that a problem sombody else has already had ?
My plan is to purchase the registered version of Mutiecuscan, but I want to make sure that there is not a problem somewhere else.
Note that I have tested my interface on a Lancia Musa 1.3 and it seems to work fine ( can access all items that are supported by the free version).
Also latency time of the com interface has been set to 1. Baud rate 38400.
Here are the results of the scan:

Hello
The motor control your 1.8 TBi is not yet supported by the Multiecuscan
If you look at the controls of the Alfa 159, you will see that there is no motor control.
When Yani the integrated into the software, he can only answer yourself

Hello Eddy,
Thanks for your feedback.
Have checked the compatibility list again, and indeed for the first 1.8l engine no motor control ECU shows up.
On the second 1.8 however, the list contains a motor control ECU.
The second engine should be the Alfa 1.8 turbo engine. The first, I guess , is the engine sourced from GM.
Hope that the list is correct and that the code already supports the 1.8l turbo engine today.
As you say, Yani can most probably confirm.
Thx again !
