Engine ECU = 'Programmed'

Hello,
Using FES on a mates Alfa GT 1.9 JTDM.
One of the parameters available when the engine is running is Engine ECU, which when ticked = 'Programmed'.

Can anyone tell me what this supposed to imply ? All Engine ECU's are Programmed.

I guess this indicates that the ECU is not virgin, i.e. it is married to the immo system.

The term virgin is very commonly used when speaking about ECUs, so I think it would be better to use that expression in MES.
