Help - Multipla cable adapter for multiecuscan

Post by danielsigsgaard »

Hi
I have a Multipla 100, 1.6 16v 1999. Its a nice practical car and looks great :-)
I bought a scanner U480, but it says linking error. Then I bought a Kiwi Wifi interface and REV2 app for my iphone, but it connects only for 1-2 secs only to disconnet again. Now im thinking about using multiecuscan, but apparently there are 3 different adaptercables to choose from.. Witch one should I choose? Right now I think its K1, but not sure..
If I get the right cable, can I the use my scanner U480 or my Kiwi Wifi Interface?

My personal recommendation for you is to buy a VAG COM KLL 409.1 cable which will work for your Fiat Multipla 100, 1.6 16v 1999.
Option 1: Buy already modified KKL cable
Option 2: Buy normal (unmodified) KKL cable + you need to buy adaptors (A1 and A2).

Just go to ebay.co.uk or ebay.de or ebay.com and there you can find both normal and modified cabels (interfaces)! ;)

Ok?
That I will look in to..
But why do I need to have 2 adaptercables? (A1 + A2)
I thought it would be enough with just one

Well the A1 cable made for connection for ABS, engine, xenon lights, steering...
And the A1 cable made for connection for airbag system.

The airbag system is very sensitive and that is why is necessary to have separate adaptor.

Just visit: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx
and maybe you will have a little bit clearer image about adaptors ;)
