ProxyAlignment Citroen Jumper (Fiat X290)
Posted: 08 Aug 2023, 08:55
First of thank you for a great software, works perfect for my needs, but I am uncertain if the proxy alignment is safe to execute.
I have a Citroen Jumper 2015 with the 2.2L Ford Puma engine.
The chassi is the same as a Fiat X290, BCM is identified as a X290 and all modules on the chassi is found.
I use a ELM327 interface modified to behave as with the Yellow cable, connection, scan, fault clearing etc work fine.
For anyone interested I am running multiecuscan under Windows 11 for arm on a Mac M1 with vmware.
For the Engince ECU etc I have the Lexia3 cable and software.
Now to my question/problem.
My cruise control stalk does not work, as soon as its pluged in the green indicator on the dash lights up, no matter what I do on the stalk.
I have verified that the stalk is ok by measuring the circuit etc, it all checks out.
Looking at the BCM via MES I can see that the Cruise control option is enabled, but the Speed limitation function is disabled.
The stalk I have has the Speed limitation function, so I want to change this setting.
Bit of background here, after I bought the van I found that someone must have spilled a CocaCola over the dash, the radio has some issues with corroded traces and I found sticky recidue behind the panels. My guess is that someone replaced the stalk and they did not notice that the original stalk did not have speed limiter, and they fitted a stalk with speed limiter.
If anyone is interested I have the schematics, pictures etc of how the stalk is wired.
What I'm concerned about is that the proxi alignment list my engine as Gasoline (Its a diesel) and the engine type as "2" and gearbox to type as "2".
As these are the values that MCE has read from the BCM I am guessing they are correct, and it would be safe to execute a proxy alignment.
Is it safe for me to exectue a proxy alignment???
This is the proxy data without any changes.

This is the proxy data where I have changed the speed limiter option to enabled, and disabled the headlight washers.

I can see that there is only two bytes that has changed.
And here is the output of a scan:
