Hi there.
First Post so sorry if its a daft question.
I've got a fully registered copy of MultiECUscan and have a problem.
I purchased 5 new (refurbished) injectors for my 2.4 Alfa 159. All fitted but when I try to enter the coding number I can code 2 of the injectors but the other 3 won't work.
I can enter the code number from the 2 that will work into any cylinder I like.
I've tried both cables with the same results.
Thinking it was an injector issue I sent them back, they were tested and sent back as all good. I suspect there's an issue with the injectors but I need to confirm it's not the vehicle.
Hopefully I'm not missing something obvious with the software?
Alfa 159 Injector programming
Re: Alfa 159 Injector programming
I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure the injectors are dumb. They just open and close to the signal from the ECU. The coding itself is just a correction value for each injector as for any given injection signal no injector will deliver the same amount of fuel.
It could be that the correction code value is outside the range that the engine ECU can cater for and the ECU is telling MES this.
Are the injectors all the same make and model number?
What are the injector codes? Are they very different?
