Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
Hay all, I've just joined this merry site due to me having an issue with Poxy Alignment. I have a 2014 Swift Ducato 250, which seems to have a replacement / upgraded radio in it. From what I can gather it used to be a VP1, but now has the VP2 with navigation. The problem I have is the dreaded milage flashing, which after 5 hours driving makes my eye twitch . So I purchased this kit to carry out an alignment, but it keeps failing the error I get is Entertainment Added/EOL failed. Is there any way I can leave this set in but stop the milage flashing.
Thanks
Thanks

Hay all just been through the other posts and was unsure what information you guys my need so here goes (if it helps) . Fiat Ducato 250 multijet 2014.
I think the old radio was a uconnect 3 but I'm not sure, as the van is a motorhome they replaced the radio with a vp2 set with Nav but no DAB the radio works perfectly but i have the flashing Mileage as normal the proxy does not work comes up with added / error so the mileage still flashes. As other posts here is my config

Re: Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
hi, have you tried changing byte 121 from 40 to 44
Re: Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
Hay Shelby1, thanks for the reply. No I haven't tried anything at the moment. Silly question I have a registered copy of multiecuscan, I know now how to retrieve the poxy code, how would you change it ? . Was a master tech for 35 years but never delved into this side of it
Re: Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
hi, i am very new at this as well,
ok using proxy do a read from you car then press the adjustments at the top left of your screen then press ctrl and alt c together, you will then get box come up, copy and paste those numbers to note pad and save (this will be your back up should you need it) then count each pair of numbers starting from top left going right and same on the next line down.
each pair of numbers or letters are one byte, then find the byte you need and change to what you need to change it to then press execute (bottom right of your screen)
hope this helps.........
IF ANY ONE THINKS I HAVE GIVEN WRONG INFO PLEASE JUMP IN.............

Re: Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
Hi we managed to change byte 121 from 40 to 44. It changed the proxy from added to just EOL Failed but the milage is still flashing.
Re: Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
AArrr thought i had it then. Did a alignment without the radio attached then switched off ign left it off for about 2 mins turned it back on no flashing reconnected the radio all ok no flashing. great so i though i would just change back some settings I had changed did the same disconnected the radio, reset the changes i made now the milage flashes when i re connect the radio.
Re: Uconnect 5 Poxy alignment issue
