Hi all
1st post on here and am hoping that someone can help me out.
Bought this a fair few years back and have not used it in about 3 years.....so have 'filed' any instructions that came with it.
Am looking to reset the service and oil change indications on my 1.3 diesel 08 500 and can't for the life of me remember which interface or adaptor I used the last time I had it up and running.
Could someone please give me a gentle reminder as to which one I need?
I seem to think I used the KKL/VAG interface, but not sure which coloured adaptor cable I used.....red, green or yellow (part of me wants to say yellow, but am not sure)
Many thanks in advance

Re: Adaptor Query
Look at the supported vehicles page
http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx
Contains all the info you need.
Also MES will prompt for the correct adaptor.

Re: Adaptor Query
Cheers
Managed to get it connected....after charging up laptop.
You are right, it did prompt for the correct adaptor too when wanting to reset the service counter.
Now just need to get it to reset the oil change indication, which is failing at present.
Get the option to adjust it, but gives a warning that 'Cannot Execute - incorrect conditions to run this test' Any idea what the correct conditions need to be to get it to change?
Have also just updated to what I think is the most recent version supported by my licence, which is 1.6. Was running 1.0 that is how long it has been since I used this

Re: Adaptor Query
Resetting the Oil Change should not require any "conditions".
Are you sure you are trying to do the correct thing?
What vehicle and engine is it?
I'll have a look on my MES.

Re: Adaptor Query
Sorted......was my own silly mistake.
Had the engine running while I tried it. I did turn the engine off on 1st attempt, but did not disconnect and reconnect after doing it.
Just turned key to ON this time, reset service counter, then went in and reset oil change, did 3 accelerator pumps and light has gone.
oil was only changed back in May when they had to bore out glow plug which snapped off when being changed. Full engine flush and re-oil then so should be good.
