2008 Ducato X250 3.0 Can't connect engine module

I have purchased a set of cables from idiagnostics including a modified ELM327. I have the full registered MES 2.5 software installed on a Windows 7 (64) laptop.

When I do a scan using the green adapter it does pick up the Airbag, Dash and Body modules. It doesn't see the engine or any other modules and can't connect to them even if I try to select them.

The vehicle is a 2008 Australian delivered Fiat Ducato motorhome with the 160Hp 3.0 diesel engine.

I've tried with the red and yellow and no adapters and that doesn't help.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Problem resolved. It was a bad cable.
