Ok, so I own a 2003 Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD and I have downloaded the Free version on Multiecuscan so I can read the fault codes, I am using a Vagcom KKL cable and I can connect to the ABS and Airbag control units with out an issue but I cant connect to the ECU. Now I have once connected in the past using an older version of Multi, but I did the update the other night with the idea on buying the full version but wanted to check it all worked as I wanted first, But alas it doesn't as I cant connect to the car.
I am Using a Laptop with Win8.1
MultiECUScan 2.4
Vagcom KKL Cable.
Drivers are up to date. this has got me pulling my hair out as my car isn't running right and I cant find out why!!!
Fiat Stilo Connection issues
Re: Fiat Stilo Connection issues
Hello Mariocing
What I do not understand?
You can read the error of the engine ECU but do not get a connection ???
But to ABS and airbag you get a connection ??
Have you installed Framework?
Which driver has been installed?
CD?
Take one from this link!
2.10.xx or 2.08.xx

Code: Select all
Windows 8 note:
Multiecuscan works fine on Windows 8/8.1, but you have to install .NET Framework 3.5 (which is not installed by default). You simply have to go to Control Panel -> Add remove programs -> Add remove windows components, and install .NET Framework 3.5.
For the CANtieCAR interface you can install the same drivers as Windows 7.

Re: Fiat Stilo Connection issues
Hi, sorry for my tardy reply.
I can connect to the ABS Unit and read codes and parameters fine, same with the Airbag Unit.
I CANT however connect to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) it just comes up with a failed to connect message.
I did install some drivers for the cable when I got it but since then I have updated from MultiECU 1.8 to 2.4, do I need new drivers???
