Best OBD for Giulietta

Hi,

I just want to take an OBD reader and I was about to buy ELM327, what about that is good to Giulietta to using with Fiat Multi ECU Scan?

I want to see the mileage via Fiat ECU Scan and errors.

ELM327 will do?

Which one should I buy? USB, Bluetooth or WI-FI?

ELm327 can detect vehicle speed, RPM, Fuel Pressure, Calculated Engine Load, adjust Throttle Position etc, but can not display mileage on the dashboard.

If your main purpose is to scan ECU, then you can pick up a super mini wifi elm327 with switch which can be used on iOS system. Here is the cheapest one $12 only.

But if you want to read mileage, you had better get a odometer correction tool, like tacho pro, digiprog 3 etc. They are a bit pricey.

YES, you can read the mileage by MES with ANY ELM interface, but it can not be real, as in my Marea.

Here are some information's:
- ELM 327 USB version with cable and MES are always good combination. No any additional problems. Problem with "bad resistor" can be solved.
- ELM 327 BT normal version (no cable) and MES are also good combination. Problem is that sometimes some laptops have bad BT interface and can not reach really far. Also some procedures do not work very well. Problem with "bad resistor" can be solved because it is a normal board.
- ELM 327 BT small version (no cable) and MES are also good combination. Problem is that sometimes some laptops have bad BT interface and can not reach really far. Also some procedures do not work very well. Problem with "bad resistor" sometimes can not be solved because board is too small and resistor i hidden. End up with destroying ELM interface.

Keep in mind that are some other software's which are coming with ELM 327 but those software's are not good with Italian cars. Some of them are 15 years old...

It's modified for Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia, it means doesn't work for other cars? Or it works?

It does not work on other cars...

Even if it is work with other cars you can not find software for other cars that can like MES with KKL and ELM.
They can not do reading of all control modules like airbag, abs, engine, electric steering and all others modules...
