Alfa Romeo 164 3.0 V6 interface connect issue.

Post by sam7376 »

OK here is the issue, everything mentioned with the how to use was implemented using the 3 pin adapter which also has positive and negative wires which supposedly are for the battery + and - terminals. The battery is located in the boot however the 3 pin plug for diagnostic scanning is on the left side of the centre console of the dashboard. The question I have is how do you do this with the 3 pin adapter in order to connect accordingly when the terminals are so far apart, (ie: the boot and centre console) ? Scanning and report sending is OK.

Hi there

The negative cable is not required.
and for the 12 + volts to the cigarette lighter
or go with a jumper wire, the voltage to the front.
