Heeeeeelp please

Post by soft top »

Hi. Can someone help me please. I havent got a clue about code readers. I need one to read and clear engine codes on my 2002 Fiat Doblo 1.9jtd. All the code readers seem to be for diesels from 2004 onwards. I looked in the supported vehicle section on this site but it does not show what years it covers for the Doblo. Mine is 2002.
I am hoping that someone can tell me all the things I need and maybe some links to where to purchase???? Pleeeeease??

Will that one plug straight into my Doblo and work? Its an OBD2 and I was told that a 2002 Doblo is not. Also I thought I would need some sort of interface thingy?
IM soooooooooo confused.

hi,
i have a 1999 multipla JTD105 and I use elm327, with MES software, and it works well on it, so i guess your 2002 Doblo will do too...

Hi,

Your Doblo should have OBD 2 connector - 16 pin connector.
1.9 JTD engines have usually EDC15 BOSCH engine ECU.
To read error codes in engine ECU you need an ELM 327 interface or KKL 409 interface and MES.
Even with a free MES version you can read and erase errors from engine ECU.
I advise you to buy ELM interface because you will have eventually new car and all new cars are supported by ELM interface.
