Automatic headlights switch-on ?

Post by CyberDuck »

Hi,

I bought myself an Alfa 159 and I wonder if can be configured to always have the headlights on (required here in denmark). It's annoying that I need to have the headlight switch in the ON position, because that makes my navigation/radio dim the display.

Is the option "Automatic headlights switch-on" what I think it is, and can I just enable it without problems ?

It also says to do a proxi alignement for the change to be activated - but I don't have the 5 digit security code for the car. Can I still or do I need to get hold of this security code before being able to do a proxi alignment ?

Thanks,
Nicolai

I carried out a proxi alignment on mine without the code.

There are a few functions that need the code such as setting the region for the car - I wonder if this might help you?

If you set the brightness to max, does this help with your display?

I think that in your car connection some wire has loosen and that's why your car auto parts headlight goes on so I think you should go to car mechanic and resolve this problem and I don't think that proxi alignment is the matter with this problem.
