Can't connect to chinese ELM327

Post by steampunkwlly »

Hi all,

Am running windows 7 32 bit on HP probook.
Have installed multiecuscan v 1.7 free version.
Bought ELM327 USB from dealextreme this year. Circuit board has V3.0 on it.

Need to recalibrate steering motor position sensor in 2000 Punto 16V due to having to remove it to resolder the steering relays.

Tried changing the com ports, still no go.

Which resistor do I need to smash in the ELM327?

Thanks for any help

hi

In this thread, a lot of ELM boards are ready and I have highlighted the relevant resistor.

Pick out your board :)

Hi, I found the circuit that I have on page two of that thread, What do I need to do to my board please?

On the last pic we can see the 100 Ohm resistors (R25/R26) for CAN H/L lines with associated capacitor (C14/C15)
Same combo shown by members in the last posts.

Hope it can help you to find the correct interface

Hello

According to your description of your ELM has no bridge resistor
and should work without modification for reading

I suspect a setting error
