ELM 327 Adapter cables

Hi,

Have it all working great now with the ELM 327 usb cable except :

ABS : Connect Adapter 1/Green ( or pin 1 )
Airbag : Connect Adapter 2/Red ( or pin 3 )
Electric Steering : Connect Adapter 1/Green ( or pin 9 )

Does that mean when I buy an adapter cable set like this :



I can use the right adaptercable with the ELM 327 interface and connect to these modules ?

If you don't want to modify your Elm unit, or create your own cable with switches to make the necessary wire/pin connections then you will need to buy a set of cables.

Look here: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx and on the right had side of the screen you will find the wiring diagrams for the different cables/connection require.

Alternatively you could buy the expensive CANtieCAR interface where all the necessary switching is done electronically within the unit.
