Why some modules are not compatible with ELM?

I checked that for example the Autoliv MY99 Airbag can be used via an adaptor with a KKL interface, but not a ELM.

Since ELM is suppose to implement all the protocols, what makes it incompatible with this modules?

Just Airbag controlers on CAN BUS
