Hi Yani,

There is bug in MES 1.1R1 regarding airbag system on FIat Multipla 1.6 16V from 2000.
I did try on MES 1.1R1 and on FES 3.6.2 and problem was the same. I just could not connect.
I did try to use next systems:
- BREED MY97 Airbag – does not work
- Allied MY97 Airbag – does not work
- SIEMENS MY99 Airbag – does not work
Unfortunately I did not have time to try next models: Allied Signal Airbag and TRW MY97 Airbag.
Of course I did use VAG COM KKL interface and red adaptor A2 and I did not have any luck.

Would be nice if you could check it...

Thanks ;)

I did not want to open new topic because there is no need for it... so Yani I have few questions for you:
- do you know what could be a problem when I can not connect to engine ecu while engine is running?
Tried it on few fiats, Fiat Marea 1.6 petrol and Fiat Bravo 1.2 petrol, both made in 1999.
I can connect when the key is in MAR position (ignition ON) but as soon as I start engine it would not connect.
I have no idea is this a bug or maybe some problem with engine ecu?
Tried to connect with MES 1.r1 but no connection. Tried to connect with FES 3.6.2 but no response from ecu while engie is running.
Any info would be helpful.

I will answer myself since I fount what was the problem...
The problem was in the KKL interface. Obviously they do not work too long so it would be good if you can always have one KKL and one LEM interface extra... just in case something like this happens...

Look here: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx and you will see that the Coupe 20V Turbo is supported.

The Motronic ECU requires a purchased/registered version of MES to be able to connect to the ECU.

KKL interface and 3-pin adapter cable required.
