Hi there,
I'm trying out FES for the first time, as it states that it can connect to my 164 2.0TS with the
Bosch Motronic M1.7 ECU.
I'm using Windows XP, and have a basic KKL to USB interface with the 3 pin adapator.
Everything is installed correctly, as when FES scans for interfaces, it correctly detects
my KKL, and reports back that the port timings are OK.
However, when I try to connect to the ECU, I get the message:
"NO ECU RESPONSE - Check cable or port settings"
I've checked the cable out from the back of the KKL socket, right through to the 3 pin
connector and it meters out fine on the required pins (K, L and GND).
I also tried using Unidiag software, and I have the same problem. How likely is it that
the diagnostic interface on the ECU is defective?
Any thoughts?
Marcus
Alfa 164 2.0 TS (Bosch Motronic M1.7) wont connect
Re: Alfa 164 2.0 TS (Bosch Motronic M1.7) wont connect
All sorted !
I had connected to the wrong 3 pin cable. The one I tried had cables with a yellow
outer sleeve around them. This didn't work. However, I found another 3 pin
connector at the back of the radio, and this one worked perfectly.
Still didn't work using UniDiag, but worked first time with FES!
