Mileage of my car

Hello @ all!

I'm a new user of Fiat ECU Scan, it's a very smart program which allows me many functions.

Now I have a question and don't know who can help me, maybe the producer of the Software.
I checked out the function to see the mileage of the car in the ECU. It shows me 172.000 KM but the mileage which is shown in the display of the dashboard shows only 129.500 KM. Now my question, is the mileage shown in the software the actually and it is obvious that the display was manipulated by somebody?
I have bough my car some weeks ago with 128.000 KM and the service booklet does not show any irregularities or abnormalities. So I'M confused.

your dashboard is do back to 40.000Km first to your brought..... only response is this.

There have been quite a few cases documented here where people's ECU and Dashboard Mileages DO NOT coincide.

You should search these forums for these and see if you find any similarities to yours, especially if the same car model is invloved.

If I was on your place I would do next:
- Every 10-15 days or every 200km or 500km do the checks of odometer in your engine ECU with FES software.
Also do the check in you odometer on the dashboard of the car!
This way you will after few months you have answer to your question!

If you after 2 months passed 2000km, than on the dashboard should be 130 000km, just go and check this value in the odometer of the engine ECU!
If it is shown 174 000 km in the odometer of the engine ECU than probably someone did manipulated on your dashboard.
