Fiat Punto MK2 ECU scan help

Hi,

Im new to this just found this website im having constant airbag light on the dash board on my Fiat Punto MK II 02 plate and was just wondering how do i get rid of it ? do i need both of the cables on the How to page ? can some one help im not sure what i need to do also about all the soldering different wires ha ha i am an amateur to this.

First thing that I would advise you: go to www.multiecuscan.net than go to "Supported Vehicles List" and there you are going to find your Fiat Punto and there are you going to see which cables and interfaces you need to check your engine ECU, airbag ECU...

Second thing I would advise you: since you probably need VAG COM USB cable KKL 409.1 interface for airbag ECU, go to eBay.com and buy yourself a VAG COM cable. On eBay you can find them form 7US$ and up... you have to wait few days untill auction ends. But if you can spend 10US$ you can buy it immediately!

Third thing I would advise you: go to “Board index ‹ Usage Q&A ‹ VAG KKL cable connections” and there you will find how to modify your VAG COM cable. Please read all 5 pages so can get a clear picture. This is direct link: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=255

Fourth thing that I would advise you: download FES software. Install all necessary drivers for you cable or interface. Plug in you cable to computer and your Fiat Punto and start with diagnostic…

Just a few infos before you start with buying and modification cables and interfaces... All Fiats have very simple electronic. Example: in my experience when you unplug the airbag connector under seat the airbag light comes on immediately and when you plug in back the airbag light on dashboard despaired immediately. So check your connectors also…
