OBDKey interface

Post by mattydr67 »

One question:
I read that the OBDKey interface cover all ECUs even that one that ELM327 can't.
I mean if soldering the pins 3 and 7 togheter into the interface I can connect to the Airbag that ELM327 can't do.
Or I didn't understand well.
Thanks

Yes, OBDKey covers all modules because it supports both ELM and K-Line modes. This means that it can act as a regular VagCom interface or ELM interface.
Please note that OBDKey that I have still has some problems with the CAN modules. It is a pre-release of version 1.40.
I'm waiting to update my interface to the latest OBDKey firmware to see how it works.

Hi Yani
Can you tell me if you recived your OBDKey interface upgraded?
I talk with one guy from OBDKey and he said if I purchase he will do one for me with 1.40 firmweare.
Actually I wanted to ask you if you do test with this upgraded interface and if it works well on CAN?
Thank you very much.
Good luck

Version 1.40 is still in testing. It had some problems with some CAN modules but those should be fixed now. I'm waiting to receive the updated interface to test the latest firmware.
I will post results as soon as I get a fully working unit.
So, please wait before buying...
