Ducato - Unable to proxy align a new air bag module
Posted: 25 Mar 2025, 22:09
2015 Ducato (type 290) 2.3 Multijet (Campervan)
Had the airbag module sent away to Crash-Data twice, but each time it failed again, so we bought a new unit, which whilst not identical, we are told that it is compatible, but after installing it shows the airbag warning light
When running Multiecuscan, it identifies the module correctly
We can clear the error code regarding it needing a proxy align (the only error code it finds) but after numerous attempts to run the proxy alignment procedure, it continues to fail with the info screen showing "Airbag Node (NAB/ORC) = EOL Failed". All other nodes respond to show OK
These are some of the errors we have seen
While its writing the Proxi Data, the line "Airbag Node (NAB/ORC).... Failed! - Request out of range error" pops up
Similarly, on the Entertainment Node (ETM) its says "Failed! - Timeout error", and again on the dashboard node "Failed!... Timeout error"
Another error message "Failed to execute" Body Computer Node (BCM/NBC) Failed" - Timeout error
We've run a scan on the interface and it correctly identified the OBDLink LX Bluetooth that we are using and says "Completed", which I understand means that its using the interface correctly
We are running the latest copy of MultiECUScan on a Windows 10 laptop over bluetooth
It feels like we are missing a step, just not sure what
Any suggestions please?
Thanks, Trev
