hello everybody
first post here and i have a question.
what is the purpose of a free MES version when everything is restricted?
how can i decide if i want to buy this product when i cannot see just one parameter from the engine?
free version
Re: free version
With the Free / Unregistered version of MES you can:
1) Connect to some systems on some cars - look in supported vehicle lists
2) Use the SIMULATE F10 function to explore all the functions MES supported for YOUR car
3) In the vehicle selection list at the bottom is EOBD. This will connect to any car with EOBD but only supports the standard universal EOBD functions

Re: free version
That does not sound right to me.
In what way restricted and especially on the base all vehicle EOBD selection?

Re: free version
it connects and a window pops up saying 'free version restriction' and it returns to starting menu.
Re: free version
Ouch! I was not aware that the base EOBD functions were restricted. Rather odd as the free version supports on some older models far more than the base EOBD.

Re: free version
There are a tons of video on youtube about what Multiecuscan can do.
And functions are clearly explained in Rev. Story .
Re: free version
the point here is that there isn't an actual FREE version.
even a 3 euros elm scanner can read/erase dtcs for free. obviously i dont need MES for this but i am just pointing the truth.

Re: free version
Actually there is a FREE version in that you can download MES for FREE and it will function on some earlier Fiat/Alfa models
Look at this page: https://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx
Anything in BLACK text (not RED) is supported in the FREE version.
Why the base EOBD is not working I suggest you contact MES Support and query this with them. If they say it is not working by design then you might like to suggest to them that they should change this and enable the base EOBD as this will help people decide if they like MES and decide if they want to but it or not.
