Hello all
Its been a long time since ive needed to use the scantools, things have behaved very well and ive had various other car brands, but i find myslef now in possession of a 2012 Giulietta, 1750 TBI Cloverleaf, and have upgraded to the latest 5.2 version, only to discover that current crop of (elderley) cables will not connect and communicate.
Whilst i read that this is apparently a common problem these days, and also recommendations of snipping and replacing resistors, capacitors etc, is there not just a verified cable interface that works, and that is available at a resonable price for a novice such as myself?
I see lots of "modified" interfaces on ebay etc, but so many, and such a varied price range, is there such a thing as a known and recognised solution to this problem?
My old cables don't connect to any ecu at all on this 2012 Giulietta, so i might aswell just get a new interface, but which one?
Thanks in advance
Shrew

I suggest you review the recommended distributors in your country. See: https://www.multiecuscan.net/Distributors.aspx
They all supply working kit and should give you help if needed.
Personally I use an OBDLINK SX interface the adapter cables.
Check out the supported vehicles list for your car to see which interfaces/adapter cables you may need. https://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx
