FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)

Here is information to all why 121 resistor is installed in all ELM 327 clone interfaces.

All clone interfaces have been made for cracked ELM ScanMaster software.
When you have installed this 121 resistor ELM ScanMaster works perfectly.
When you remove this 121 resistor: ScanMaster sometimes loses connection or it can not connect that easily and on some cars will not connect at all.

I am telling you from experience because I have original ELM ScanMaster software and some ELM interfaces with 121 and without that resistor.

Hello Alfaeddy, thank you very much for your help, I checked well and it was a software problem, now it works perfectly.
The only boredom and the wifi to connect every time I change the ip address of my network card.
For the rest everything is ok

Hello

The ELM 5 has no bridge resistor with this ELM Can Multiecuscan without changes the CAN bus read control

But all black housing are open.
- Remove from the housing Edikett
- Loosen the 4 screws including
- Open the housing

I cannot see any screws or other external way to seperate the case.
I dont want to break the case or internals by prying them apart.

connet on the CAN of my Alfa Mito 1.6.
I try to remove r4 resistor but don't work.

I think you need registered version of Multiecuscan for all modules and only 3 modules are accessible via elm327 without adapter cables.

The resistor you need to remove is R04 which is the one nearest to the connector .

Engine should connect regardless of RO4 though.

Are you sure you have installed the correct FTDI drivers.
