Then desolder 1200 resistor (120 Ohm resistor) between pin 6 and pin 14, it is located near pins for OBDII socket, you will manage to find this

2) you don't need to solder anything: Vgate vLinker FS ELM327

I was able to connect with MES and have no problems so far.

Dear All

What is meant by desoldering the resistor

remove the resistor leaving the circuit is open?
Or connect the two terminals after removing the resistor?

The resistor has to be REMOVED.

Technically the resistor is a Bus Terminator. All CAN-Bus have to have a termination of 120 ohms. However this termination is already present on the Body Computer so having two terminations kills / reduces the data signal. Hence the need to remove the terminator in the ELM interface.

hola gente, tampoco puedo comunicarme con ecu de abs epb, sera problema de mi obd2? mi obd2 es elm327 hs-pro

This is my ELM327 - one part is missing (I've marked it with an arrow). Could this be causing the connection problem?

Buonasera, ho trovato una ELM327 della quale il venditore mi ha assicurato, anche con una foto del circuito stampato, che sono presenti i chip PIC18f2480 e non il PIC18f25k80 e come convertitore Seriale ==> USB utilizza il FTDI FT232RL e non il CH340 , chip che come ho letto sono molto più compatibili e performanti.
L'ELM presenta però un interruttore, cerchiato in rosso. Da quanto ho capito, questo commutatore serve per commutare tra due diversi protocolli di comunicazione CAN bus, solitamente denominati HS-CAN (High Speed) e MS-CAN (Medium Speed). La mia domanda è sapere se è compatibile con i veicoli FIAT tramite il programma MULTIECUSCAN. Allego anche foto dello stampato dove ho la certezza dei chip usati Grazie

Compré este, y solo pude hacer el reset del aceite y entrar al cuadro, me deja quitar o poner el pitido del cinturón, al resto no me deja acceder, será la misma resistencia? Al quitarla no provocará algún otro problema? Seguirá funcionando para ford? Gracias por las respuestas.
