According to the original post of this thread the resistance that you have to change is 120 Ohm, not 100 Ohm. You have to change the 120 Ohm resistor for a 100 Ohm one. And you have also to change some capacitors but I don't understand how that part works.

Here you have the quote:
yani wrote: 12 Sep 2010, 20:50 The problem is actually in the CAN termination method used in these interfaces - they use one 120 Ohm resistor connected between CAN-L and CAN-H.
According to the ELM327 datasheet the proper termination is to use 100 Ohm resistor on each of the 2 lines connected to ground through a 560 pF capacitor (see the picture below).
So i just got two 100 Ohm resistors and two capacitors of 560 pF and fixed my interface as shows below. And it WORKS flawlessly now.

Hello. I have Viecar bluetooth 4.0 OBD2 scanner and can connect to the engine module only. All other modules dont connect. I am using AlfaOBD paid version on my Android phone. Can someone help me to detect which resistor should be removed if possible?

I finally connected successfully to my ecu. I bought an obd2 cable for 124,000 vnd (Việt Nam) , from https://s.lazada.vn/s.90Q9.
I connected and checked the error on the my car Fiat siena 1.6 (error code P0351 Ignition Coil 2) with the mutiecuscan 4.5 software and the Fiatecuscan software 3.6.2.

Thank you and everyone for your help !!!

Guys, first make sure that the interface used is actually implemented with the 121ohms resistor

check below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emzyE-zkGmw

resistor that must be removed:
https://ibb.co/tczXLW2

After checking that between pins 6 and 14
is showing 120 ohms on the multimeter, look for it on the board and remove it

Sorry my bad english.

Hello everyone!
I have read and experimented a lot with the best value for money tool.
So far I have come to this tool: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32862479065.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.5d824c4dJTLVmL

I've tested many of the same looks, both old and new, and foror at similar prices , ONLY this device seems to be good.

(So far I've only tested it with key programming radio and immo)

I hope I help with it, so I wrote this so that everyone doesn't buy as much cheap equipment as I do.

BR.
