So,
does it work only on 1.2 version?

Because i have the 1.3a clone that works great.
It seems to be the same of plastic one in your pictures....
I use a couple of softwares where i can choose bps rate and if i choose an higher value instead of 9600 it still works fine.
But i have an application that use elm-device values and it always get 9600bps.

Could i try to mod my device and see what happens....
just to clear it out...

I have 1.2a same llike on picture with BT my is without BT, and like on that pic pin 6 is connected to R24 but R24 is missing but there is one R under R24 do I need to remove that or what?
I have tested only connected 5V to R24 and to pin 6, now it says it is 38400bps and not working on 9600, but still I only can acces ECU engine.

1.2a all is same like 1.2 only like on this pic with BT there is place for 3 R , but one in the middle is missing.

That's exactly it, the metal 1.5a.

I did make this change, it actually connects 34,800.

But still no connection to the Can!

Someone he passed the CAN connection with this product?
