Hi,

The IMA code of the injector describes precicely its characteristics. The manufacturing process cannot guarantee that each injector will function exactly the same way as per specification. At the end of the production line each injector is tested by a test equipment which measures its chracteristics and generates the 9-digit IMA code which is then stamped on the injector.
The ECU uses this info to adjust precicely the injection time for each injector so that it injects the correct amount of fuel in the cylinder.

Yes, it is possible to enter a close value for the injector (by changing one of the digits).

And, yes, it is possible for the ECU to reject the injector code. Based on the IMA code the program in the ECU estimates that the characteristics of this particular injector are not good and it is not suitable for proper operation.

Hello,

Bosch has sent back the injector. The same injector goes from an IMA "BAANBT3B1" to an IMA "8SAEBK28R", strange..
I have mounted the injector, the engine seems to work better and without leaks. However i have always a cloud of gasoil behind the car until my engine is warm, only during acceleration..
I looked at the correction (with my engine cold and warm) and i have no corrections upper than 1mm3/i..
Have you ever met this problem?

Thanks for your help!

Injector coding on Punto 1.3

Post by sztyopa »

Hi Yani and all!

I have a problem with the grande punto injector coding.

Code: Select all

ECU ISO Code: 68 07 8A 04 52
ECU ISO Code: 68 07 8A 04 52
2012.03.09. 23:29:02
CONNECTED TO:
FIAT GRANDE PUNTO 1.3 MJET 16V
Marelli 6F3 EOBD Diesel Injection
--------------------------------------------------------------

ECU ISO code: 68 07 8A 04 52
FIAT drawing number: 51781569
Hardware number: MJD6F3HW03P
Hardware version: 00
Software number: 2944P748
Software version: 0000
Homologation number: 6F3.P7
Functioning time (EEPROM): 187265
Operating time: 187269

EXECUTING ADJUSTMENT...
Injector code Cyl. 1
Old value: AHACA6868
New value: AAACAXCAS
FAILED TO EXECUTE
I tryed with the cyl. 2 "original" write to the cyl. 1 but the result was same. So the problem is not with the injector code.
I purchase (license) now only for this work, and now I can't use the software for the inector coding. :(
The interface is ELM 1.4 Bluetooth, and no problems for reading and other connections.

Any idea or solution?
Thank you in advance!

Please send me a report (from the red Send Report button) after trying to change the code and I will check for more info inside this report.

Hello Yani, I have looking for days to find this thread for injector coding, and I finnaly found it :).
I have a question please if you can help me.
I have a fiat punto 1.3 multijet 2003 year, and I have engine light blinking, and I have run it through fiatecuscan 3.6
And I have error P1301 INJECTOR CLACIFICATION, so I tried to change 9 digits code for each injector, and it doesn't want to save it.
Can you please help me with these, I'm bugging with this for days :).

Here is copy of my report:

Can you find somethig out of this?
I have been using USB elm 327 V1.5a.
And my car is working great, and I have no problems with driving, or any sounds suspitios..but I would love to remove this engine light blinking.
Or maybe I have a problem with some injector, but maybe I did not realize it..

Can you please help.
Thank you very much

This is a an old thread but my problem is exactly what is being discussed.

I have a 2009 Panda 1,3 Multijet I have just installed a set of Bosch remanufactured injectors but get the "Incorrect Interface" error when I try to enter the new calibration codes.

I have carefully used "I" and "1" correctly but get the same problem. My interface works fine with every other function of MES so I feel its unlikely to be the problem.

Please advise

have you tried using VAGcom/KKL interface?
