Option to change km
Option to change km
Since the programs are everywhere to change km, would be nice if it were implemented in the multiecuscan this option.

Re: Option to change km
Multiecuscan can change odometer values BUT ONLY INCREASE THEM!!!!!!
Also trying to do a "Wrap Round" (set 99999999 hoping it will then step to 000000000) will not work.

Unfortunately it is not simple as you think...stefano wrote:Since the programs are everywhere to change km, would be nice if it were implemented in the multiecuscan this option.
Yes, you can find programs for changing km on the dashboard, but they are very expensive.
You need minimum 200€ only for software + minimum 100€ for programmer...
It is not that cheap!

Re: Option to change km
I think that the FES can do I just believe that Yani did not want to make this....
left only the possibility of increasing

Which begs the question, why would you want to do anything else?orso yoghi wrote:I think that the FES can do I just believe that Yani did not want to make this....

If you're fitting a replacement set of clocks (the only legitimate reason to change your odometer reading), then a new cluster will have a lower reading than the one you take out.

Normally, if you can add km means it can and should reduce.orso yoghi wrote:I think that the FES can do I just believe that Yani did not want to make this....

I think if they introduce this feature in the program would have a much greater success in sales.
remains to be seen.....

Re: Option to change km
one might as happened to me buy a car from a disaster instrumentation and equipment bought used has more km of my car and you get less km in ecu and many more in the instrumentation
Re: Option to change km
is not new, about 90% of today's cars have km change .....

Re: Option to change km
I agree with you both... I would like to have that option too, but I do not think that Yani will add this option because purpose of this software is not dashboard calibration it is diagnostics of different ECUs on the ALFA, FIAT and LANCIA cars…

Re: Option to change km
I'm almost 99.9999% sure even Fiat Examiner CAN NOT decrease the mileage/odometer value.
I think I will also go so far as to say that the "normal" instrument cluster commands / interfaces do not allow the decrease of odometer values.
The tools/hardware/software that allow odometer values to be decreased are "hacks". The original Fiat/Marelli/Veglia/Visteon etc. designs were implemented the way they are (increase only) to try and reduce fraud etc..
Even if Yani could implement a "hack" there is no way he is going to.
