PROBLEM CONNECTING

hello
I have installed the free version of fiatecu scan 3.3 and a vag/com interface on my computer
after searching the correct com port I can connect to the airbag module but I can not connect to the engine module (says cannot connect to the ecu)
now I even cannot connect anymore to the airbag module also it says (com 4 port denied)
does anybody know what the problem could be
