There seems to be a few different ELM327 clones. As long as they emulates the original firmware, they should work.

These RC circuit used on the input pins of the original ELM are for spike filtering. As they seems to miss from the clones, indeed with some ECU, spurious signals could lead to data errors and therefore failed function.

That doesn't mean, their presence will solve unworking function because of missing functionality (it won't wave the registration fee :) )or wrong I/O signal connection ! As I can see the OBD connector carries extra pin used by various subsystems, thus the adapter cables. Could be solved with jumpers or an appropriate break box.

Hi Im having a ELM327-USB V3.0 v1.4 Interface, I can connect to CAN Setup/ Proxy Alignment, CAN Info, Boot, Drivers Door, but I can't connect to Service Interval Reset on my Alfa 147 2.0 TS '01.

Do I have to destroy any Resistor?

Thank you in advance

Hello

When I see your interface is really none of which where a
Resistance must be removed.
I can not detect.

Or even make you a picture from the top of the connector

At the bottom of everything is OK.

Did you work with the ELM interface connects to your engine control unit
can do?

There seems to be quite a few ELM327 clone with different layout. The issue is the way CAN signals are connected, that is pin 6 and 14 of the ECU connector. You have to trace them, determine if there is just a 100 ohm resistance between them and no RC. If you are not familiar with electronic, better ask around you someone who does. This to avoid damaging your unit. It is a 15 min. job.

Hello
Your ElmScan 5 is too old. Version 1.1 does not work with FES

I have a ElmScan 5 V 1.3 and this works very well.
It uses some resistors to solder anything.
The software on the chip is not the right one.
Buy yourself a different interface
