ecu scan 3.3 doesn't find interference, 3.2 find and work

Post by ceker »

I would like to purchase a registered version, but with more additions to 3.3 is not working either elm or OBD 2
Is there any solution to this problem, the laptop of friends works normal, I have changed the operating system, remains the same problem.

If it can't find the interface, check the Windows device manager to see which COM port is allocated to it.
Make sure the same COM port number is selected in the software.

If you've got bluetooth serial ports installed too, they can cause havoc when trying to detect COM ports for a device.

It done like you sad. Not manual or automaticly not detected. I m stuck. I changed even port speed but not success.

Port speed should be 38400 for the Gendan Elms.
What COM port number is it showing up as in Device Manager? I've seen people talking about problems trying to use anything above COM5 in FES, so if it's higher than that it may be worth going into Port Settings > Advanced and dropping it down to COM2 or COM3.

Or just give Gendan a ring - they can usually sort that kinda thing over the phone if you're plugged into the car at the time.

Do you mean you changed it in Device Manager, or tried a different port setting within FES?
Just changing in FES wouldn't help.

You could try downloading the latest drivers from the USB chipset manufacturer:
