Anyone tried OBDLink SX with Fiat500? Mine will not connect to CAN

Which do you use OBD interface?
Have you considered all the settings?
Show times a link from your OBD Interface
A screen test in FES settings would also be helpful

OBDLink does not work properly with Multiecuscan.

Is that true of the full version OBDLink cables too, or just the SX units?

Yes, it is true for the full OBDLink. I actually have OBDLink for testing but I assume that SX has the same problem.
Anyway, I already found a solution for these problems and the next version of Multiecuscan will have full support for OBDLink.
