Fiat Sedici - EPS and airbag

Post by dallas140cv »

I have some problems in connecting with EPS and airbag, using ELM or KKL as indicated in supported vechicles page and the relative adaptor. Am I the only user with this difficulties?

Are you using the correct adaptor cable or a correctly modified interface? These devices connect on a different pin compared to the engine ECU.

Yes, adapter 2 for airbag and adapter 1 for EPS, with KKL.

Please try without adapter. I think Sedici does not need adapters.

I've tried without adapters... no connection for this ECUs. I was in a point without wireless connection so I haven't sent a report, sorry.

Hi. I have the same problem on several friends of mine's cars. We've tested this on both Sedici 1.9 and 2.0 Multijet engines and still no luck in connecting to ABS/ESP, Airbag and Electric steering.
The situation is this. I have KKL and the set of 3 (green, red, yellow) adapters. Only with the KKL i can connect to engine ECU. I wanted to connect to airbag with the red adapter (№2) but i can not. When using the green adapter (№1) i can not connect to ABS/ESP and electric steering. What could be the trouble in this case? Any ideas? One more question. I saw on Multiecuscan website that in the Sedici supported vehicle section there is only KL1, KL3 and KL9 adapters for connecting to ESP/ABS, Airbag and Electric steering and no A1, A2 and A1 adapters. Does that mean that i can connect to ABS/ESP, Airbag and Electric steering only with modified KKL? When i am looking at both schemes - modified KKL and A1,A2,A3 adapters the pin connections are the same so it should not be a problem to use either of them. Is my thinking right?

I know Sedici is a rare car to see these days but I will be happy if there is a solution for this. Thanks.

Best regards.
