Microsoft Network Version ?

Post by Darth Coupar »

Hi Folks....

First post and I just want to check something....

Does FES work using Microsoft Network V3 SP1 ?

I ask as the main page says to use V2.

Thanks

Are you asking whether it requires .NET v3 SP1, or whether it is compatible with it?
As I understand it, the software requires .NET 2.0 SP1, but installing the later versions of the .NET framework on your PC will not stop it from working.
It seems that when you install .NET 3 it doesn't actually upgrade .NET 2, it just adds it alongside, so both are on your computer.

Ok thanks.

That rules that out for causing my connectivity problems.

What problems are you having (and with which interface/adaptor combination, and what spec of car!)

97 GTV 2litre TS

Engine ECU is Motronic M2.10.4

I have started a thread here about the connection problems: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2525]clicky clicky#

Using a 4 way switch modified KKL/USB lead with a 3 pin adaptor.

Thanks :D
