Alfa 159, can only see engine and ABS

Bought a 1.4 ELM cable which allows me to connect to the Bosch ECU with no problems. Have borrowed an ELM 1 adaptor and with that I can get to ABS, however I can't connect to any other ECU's. Body dash etc etc. Scan just returns the 2 mentionned before.

Am I missing something obvious as the 'supported vehicles list' suggests I should be able to connect to the lot with just the std ELM cable.

I just see the no connection ELM to ECU error.

Maybe there is something wrong with your ELM 327 1.4 interface?!?!?
