Hi at all
I've a Grande Punto 1.4 77CV Natural Power (2009), multiecuscan (registred version, of course) it's compatibile with my car? what can I do with this software?
I've read that on "supported car list": Magneti Marelli IAW 5SF8 Natural Power Injection (8V) |INFO|DTC| ELMOBDKey <--- the last three words what do they mean? and what's the difference from that?: |INFO|DTC|PRM|ACT|ADJ|
I need an unmodified ELM327 or a ELM327 with adapter cable?
Now, if I buy a 3.2 version, I will pay for next releases?
Thanks a lot
some questions about FES
Re: some questions about FES
Answering your last question. Multiecuscan reigstration is a ONE TIME fee only. After that all future versions will be covered and free of charge to registered users.
A cracking/great bargain in my opinion.
I would add something else, that based on my experience with other software over the years, it may be difficult for the software developer to maintain "for life" upgrades as time goes by. Ongoing support, more coverage, more functions etc. takes a lot of time and money to keep going. A point may come where the developer has to change their revenue model. When this happens all existing registered users continue to get free upgrades. New users will probably be moved to a "Major Release" upgrade model.

good
Can anyone explain to me my other questions?

Re: some questions about FES
For the coverage list stuff, each line represents a control module on the car:
KL = KKL VAG-COM interface cable can be used to communicate with this controller
ELM = ELM327 interface cable can be used to communicate with this controller
OBDKey = OBDKey interface cable can be used to communicate with this controller
You should be able to cover all modules with either an OBDKey interface, or the combination of a KKL and an ELM.
(On a 2009 Punto you should be able to get away with just an ELM327 and an adaptor 3 cable).
A1 = Adaptor cable 1 (or modified interface cable) required
A2 = Adaptor cable 2 (or modified interface cable) required
A3 = Adaptor cable 3 (or modified interface cable) required
|INFO|DTC|PRM|ACT|ADJ| - these relate to what the software is currently able to do with the control module in question
INFO - Module information can be read from this controller
DTC - Diagnostic Trouble Codes (fault codes) can be retrieved and cleared from this controller
PRM - Live data parameters can be read from this controller
ACT - System Actuations can be performed on this controller (e.g. on the dash cluster you can press a button in the software, and it will test if a certain dial works etc)
ADJ - Adjustments are available on this controller, so you can make changes to its configuration (e.g. enabling/disabling seat belt alarms)
