Battery power problem

Post by Integrale »

Hello

After connecting the VAg to my 06 159JTDM just for checking the multiecuscan facility, the car start to consumpt power from the battery when standing still. I fully charge the battery and when car is running everything is ok. Its charging 14,2V and there is no problems. If the car stand still for over 6hour's I need to recharge the battery. Can this have any relation to my first connection of the VAG? I have changed the battery, i find this problem verry strange and dont think its a coinsident?

that would be very strange.

A battery can "die" in a night and it could be just a coincident with your issue.

Anyway if in an absurd case the ecu is still awake while the engine is off, you could try to unplug a battery terminal and wait some minutes...
But i don't think this is it.
