Fiat stilo Dashboard Instalation
Fiat stilo Dashboard Instalation
Hello,
I just installed an abarth dash in my 1.6 stilo and I did the proxy alignment. Doing that I get a failure at the end but it seems that it correct the most of the alarms.
What left behind? During the initial check the temp. gauge goings until the end and makes the dash to alarm. Also before this, shows the cruise control as engaged no matter if it actually is or not.
When start the engine everything is good.
Any thoughts?

Hi,
This seems very weird behaviour.
So, it works fine after you start the engine, but does not work when engine is off?
Is it possible that you have low battery?

Re: Fiat stilo Dashboard Instalation
hi, which kind of alarm do you have? i have this dashboard on a stilo jtd and everything is ok, at the end of the test sounds a beep of alarma but no light or message of alarm it is found in the matrix screen. Perhaps it is a problem with the oil preassure sensor or any of seledspeed. How many connector do your have in back of the dashboard?
My problem is with the matrix screen, it get dark (saturated?) and i can't see anything. Then i disconnect negative wire of the battery and quickly reconnect and the screen looks ok, black with blue lines and all messages.
thanks.

I don't know if you find it reasonable but the alarm seems to sound, because at the initial check, the temperature gauge goes to the red area. This is which trigger the alarm.
After couple of seconds goes again to the normal area and everything seems OK.
Don't forget also that before this, the LCD panel, shows the cruise control as engaged no matter if it actually is or not.
If matters, I change body computer before a year or so. I don't know if the new one have any difference comparing with my old (2003) Unit.
ove1kenove, i am not sure what you mean, it sounds the dashboard alarm. I will try to remove the negative to check if something change and i will update the post.
